KENNEBEC VALLEY YOUTH ORCHESTRA

UPCOMING CONCERT

Kennebec Valley Youth Symphony Orchestras
Spring Performance with Coda Chorus

May 7th at 7pm at Hope Baptist Church

Curious about the KVYO performance in the December concert?  Here's "The Jester," from Eric Ewazen's Four Royal Dances that were our centerpiece for the concert.

The Kennebec Valley Youth Orchestra is an exciting option for developing musicians.  This ensemble is appropriate for intermediate student musicians who are growing in mastery of their instruments.  KVYO primarily plays arrangements; we typically join KVYS for one piece each program. The Kennebec Valley Youth Orchestra offers the opportunity to perform with other excellent middle & high school students who are excited to expand their musical horizons!  Mr. Daniel Keller brings his expertise & humor as the conductor of KVYO.

Previous ensemble experience and private instruction are highly recommended. Students are expected to continue participation in their school orchestra and/or band programs.

KVYO meets at the University of Maine at Augusta on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30, see our Google calendar for dates.  Tuition is $150 for the year, payable with the application.  Spring-only students pay $75.

Rolling auditions are available throughout the year; to schedule, contact our Orchestra Manager, Betsy Kobayashi.  We hold auditions in February, May,  and September.
