to Audition for KVYSO for Spring 2024

Kennebec Valley Youth Orchestra (intermediate orchestra)

1. SCALE  All instruments: 1-2 octave scale of your choice.   

2. SOLO  Choose any polished piece to show your beautiful tone and attention to musical detail.

3. SIGHT READING An easy sight reading piece will be provided at your audition.  

Kennebec Valley Youth Symphony (advanced orchestra)

1. SCALE  Strings: 3-octave scale, winds: 2-3 octave scale (winds)

2. SOLO   Choose two polished pieces (one fast, one slow) from your instrument’s standard repertoire that demonstrate your technical mastery and  beauty of expression.
